And he's gone. I guess he'll be around again when that collaboration goes through. If he's agreed to it. But that still doesn't change anything. When he comes back, I'll still be some stranger without any means or influence, in absolutely no position to tell him what his wife's really like. Maybe she really is treating Aurnia better for no reason other than actual kindness, but that's more likely than me being promoted to head of research tomorrow.
Ugh, this is just ... I have a chance to change something instead of making sneak visits to cheer her up and avoiding the actual problem, but it's the worst possible time to have this chance because nothing I say will make him take me seriously! I mean, how am I supposed to get someone like him to listen to me?
